Friendlier Talk means we spend little time whining about how bad a player, team or management allegedly is and instead focus on how our sports team is performing, good or bad. Somebody may have a bad moment, but that is different from personally attacking them or condemning them.

No personal fouls necessary here, just intelligent observations and opinions are all that are asked for. We don't act like we are victims because we haven't won a championship in a while nor do we act like our sports teams "owe us" a championship.

We don't whine excessively because our sports teams spends less money than other teams on payroll, we are sports fans that enjoy the sport of baseball (and football and basketball) and we constantly recognize and appreciate the nuances of our favorite sport that keeps it fresh and exciting all season long.
