It's being referred to as a BIOPIC.

This is from wikipedia:
A biographical picture, often shortened to biopic,
is a film that dramatizes the life of an actual person or people.

It will be interesting to see who they cast as Cherie,
for sure!

I can't think of any young actresses who can fit the bill though.
Maybe Sanjaya as Jackie???

Excellent news! Though there seems to be some confusion on different message boards as to whether it is a Cherie biopic or a full fledged Runaways biopic. Regardless, I'm glad and anxious.

I remember when we (wingnut and I) met Cherie at Chiller last June that she mentioned that they were in talks to do this movie. It's great that they're really going to do it. No matter whether it's a Runaways pic or Cherie's story it will be fantastic. Like all of you, I will be first in line around here when it comes out!

I think a great beginning would be when Cherie meets Joan and Kim Fowley at the Sugar Shack and/or when Cherie is preparing for her audition with The Runaways!

Who could play Cherie though????????

I was thinking, maybe Kristen Stewart

I've been wondering who would play Kim Fowley. I don't know too much about the guy, but what I've seen of him in documentaries hasn't really endeared me to him. A young Christopher Walken could maybe have given a good interpretation of him. A pity Max Schreck isn't still around.

I'm still saying that Sanjaya from American Idol could play Jackie.
Maybe Kate and Ashley as Cherie and Marie??
Not too hip on the young actress set but Fairuza Balk would have made an awesome Joan.

Maybe she's too "old" but what about Pink in the role for Cherie? I know, she looks more like Kim Novak than like Cherie, but she has the grit

I believe that was the name I read in her book!

Who better to play the part, she already knows Cherie better then any actress could and she must look a little like her Aunt Cherie....LOL

For best results the actresses should be musically inclined.
When they are pretending to play it would look more realistic if they had some actual familiarization with their instruments. I'd hate to see them have to cut and edit like they had to on the Partidge Family!
