You mean the Partridge Family weren't playing their own instruments? How disillusioning is that? Still, at least the Brady Bunch were the real thing.

Yeah, I agree, they should be musically inclined. I'm hoping they use SHANE from the L word to play JOAN JETT. I personally think she's perfect for the part. I guess time will tell. [wonder]

WE have heard her sing. WE think just like NYJ and a few others here on the board, that she would be the person for the JOAN JETT role.

She has a raspy voice too! And she's HOT, HOT, HOT...

WE love to watch her in action!

I watched 'Hard Candy' on DVD last night, and though I wssn't too sure about the movie, I was struck by the powerful performance given by Ellen Page. Although she's dark, I could imagine her giving an incredible performance as either Cherie or Joan.

I don't think there has been any updates,
since the initial announcement Kelly!

I hope it's progressing at a rapid rate,
'cause I can't wait!

Thanks for the info. I am sure you will keep me updated on the movie. The book was one that I couldn't put down, so I am sure the movie will be one that I don't pause every 5 minutes.

I still can't find the Joan Jett/Michael J. Fox movie, I have looked everywhere. Do you have it?

Then we will be Happy CCampers, for sure!

Oh, um...LIGHT OF DAY, according to my Movie and Video guide was released on VHS and on lasardisc but my book is 10 years old.
I don't know if it was issued on DVD yet. I'll see what I can find out!

I have seen the movie a couple times, on TV, since 87 and I'd love to see it again!

Have a nice night!
[Thumbs up]

I can't wait to see it again. I saw it in the movie theater when it came out. The only scene I remember is when Joan hid hamburger meat in her baby's stroller when they were walking through the grocery store....and I may even be remembering it wrong.
I just remember absolutely loving that movie! Plus, I had a HUGE crush on Michael J. Fox....Michael A. Fox (A for Andrew) is his real name...I was a huge fan!

when light of day came out i worked at a movie theater so i like watched it all day long almost. they had what they called "temperature checks" that pretty much meant i went from theater to theater checking the temperature until i settled on the movie i liked best and stood in the back of the theater watching said movie for an hour or so. i had a huge crush on Joan before i knew of her sexual orientation. when i found out i was crushed.

Joan should be played by that girl from "Bring it on"...ya'll know who I am talking about, Kirstin Dunst's best friend in that movie.

Cherie should be played by a blonde Rachel McAdams because I love both of these girls so much.

Lita should be played by Brittany Murphy

Sandy should be played by Drew Barrymore (another one of my favorite actresses)

Jackie should be played by the brunette from the new Transformers movie.

Has anyone ever seen "Satisfaction"? Isn't that a good Runaways band???? Too bad they (the Satisfaction bunch) aren't that young anymore...they would have been perfect...
