I saw Michael Portillo on an Easyjet flight from Gatwick to Edingburgh. He obviously wasn't flying on expenses!!

La Femme Nikita and Nick (Hafezi) spotted Ian Wright "with a short blonde" at the press screening for X-Men 2 last Thursday in Leicester Square's Odeon. They also spotted some more celebs but I can't remember who they are so I will get back to you on that one!

I know this doesn't count but I wandered past the Odeon in Leicester Square to see all these Z-list celebrities turn up for the XMen 2 premiere. I mean, it's the "world premiere" and who do they invite? JORDAN! And two-thirds of Mis-teeq! Those girls would even turn up to the opening of an envelope! And Brian Dowland too. How poo is that?!

Charlie Brooks (aka Janine from Eastenders) flouncing into the Pleasance theatre bar, making sure everyone looked at her, then flouncing out again.

Just been to a book publishing organised bowling tournament and we very nearly had Louise Wener (ex-Sleeper lead singer, who's turned to writing books) on our team...but it turned out that we didn't really need her....cause they had me!

I saw "Kiss Me Kate" at some theatre in London or another, and sitting two rows in front of us was the actor who played Mr Robson (PE teacher, then headmaster after McCluskey left) from Grange Hill.

At university, I interviewed Steve Wright (of Radio 1 and now Radio 2 fame) for a documentary we made about local radio in Leicester. And I've interviewed Barry Norman too. Nice bloke.

Mikey, the Steve Wright and Barry Norman things are 'claims-to-fame'! Mr Robson, however, is a good 'un as he's still in the show!

How about Jackie Chan crawling under a table at Chiquitos in Leicester Square two weeks ago. The two 15 year old boys I was having dinner with confirmed this as they are massive fans of JC.
He was looking for the lost purse of one of his party.

I don't think you should be telling people on the net you had dinner with 2 15 year old boys. You know what happened to Pete Townsend...

All a storm in a teacup though, isn't it? Two 15 year old boys. Well, if it had been one 30 year old man, there'd be no problem. So 2 15 year old boys is hardly any different really. If you look at it like that.

What?

I think maybe we're getting a little insight into why Mikey is so dodgy in this post.

Even if I tell you one was the son of her next-door neighbour, it still doesn't sound any less iffy!

I almost bumped into Bill Clinton on Oxford High Street once. I came out of All Souls, and was just a few feet from him. Then I was turning my head thinking 'he looks like Bill Clinton...'

There were a couple of other people doing likewise, and I believe he was in Oxford at the time (visiting Chelsea, not London) so it was probably him...

I completely forgot but while I was at my works annual fundraising ball, I saw Laurence Delalio the rugby player, that chef with the moustache from can't cook wont cook, and some football club manager (I think it was Leighton Orient FC).
