Good, I'm glad you found it funny. Jarryd didn't agree with me so much and I thought that maybe I only found it strange because I haven't grown up with him as much as you lot did.

As most of you would be aware i had an operation on my lower jaw two weeks ago. I thought id post a photo to give you all an idea of how it went.

Now the after photo here shows my two black eyes, believe it or not the swelling had gone down that day (4 days post op) from the day before. I was unable to open my right eye on that day. Unfortunately the photo doesnt do the swelling justice, imagine the size of a watermellon not a huge one but a biggish one thats how big my face was.

The last photo was taken today, I still look like ive had the shit kicked out of me and my eyes are bright red. I have no pain luckily. My surgeon says all of my remaining swelling and bruising will be gone by next week.

Just wanted to post the photo before tonight so that you could all visualise how swollen i got. If i remember ill bring my camera and if your interested you can look at some of my other photos...

That's pretty intense! My Mum got an op on her jaw years ago and looked similar to you (but more blue/purple... if that's possible, due to a blood disorder).

Good to see your less swollen and not in pain!
Was it for an underbite? If so - big difference!

My operation was a Mandibular Advancement which basically means they cut my bottom jaw on both sides move it forward and then reattach it with a plate and screws. The 'gap' will heal making the lower jaw longer.

i think if jord hadn't warned me i would have thought the same as nick. i just commented on some of the ones you put on face book brennie, i was saying about how much worse it is to look at them on a larger scale, computer rather than camera. but thankfully after seeing you last night, it seems the healing process well on it's way

Yeah, I guess ther's not much left to say! But it's amazing how much it doesn't look like you. Like, had you posted just the middle photo.. it coulda been anyone. I'd expect to see that sorta photo in the paper with an article about a gangbashing!

When I'm back at work I'll have to take a geez at those Facebook photos as well.
