ok.. so i couldn't do it exactly as youre supposed to.. i printed off the instructions from the net a year or two back and tried it. the album is supposed to start at the Metro Goldwyn Meyer's lion's 3rd roar.. or something like that, i was using a taped off tv copy of the wizard of oz that had the MGM lion cut out from the start, but i reckon i woulda had it pretty close.
there was only one part that i thought kinda synced up, when dorothy fell off a fence and 'on the run' started.. if any of ya's know the album the tempo kinda increases.. was pretty cool.. other than that i didnt really see how it synced up at all.. but like i said, i couldnt be 100% accurate starting the album on time..

if anyone has a copy of the wizard of oz on dvd.. i have the dark side on cd.. would love to give it another bash.

yeah i think so.. was a while ago though..

ya know what they should do.. release a dvd of the album dark side of the moon, professionally synced up to the movie.. the album only goes for 40mins so it would only be like half the movie, which would be kinda weird.. but they'd sell heaps. i'd buy a copy.

I watched Match Point last night, it was about a tennis instructor who finds himself friends with one of the people he is teaching, he then marries this dudes sister but ends up having an affair with his friends fiancée.....meh just read it.

3/5 beans

I also saw recently Hoodwinked!.
It's about Little Red Riding Hood: A classic story, but there's more to every tale than meets the eye. For this story, we begin at the end. Furry and feathered cops from the animal world investigate a domestic disturbance at Granny's cottage, involving a girl, a wolf, and an axe. The charges are many: breaking and entering, disturbing the peace, intent to eat, and wielding an axe without a license. Not to mention, this case might be tied to the elusive "Goody Bandit" who has been stealing the recipes of goody shops everywhere.

Anyway I really enjoyed it and I think you all would too....
4/5 beans

good idea nick, id buy it too.....on sale

Match Point and Hoodwinked are both absolutely brilliant films, in different ways.
The main similarity is that they are both very clever movies. Really clever movies are few and far between.

they both get a 4.5/5 for me

Yeah, I was gonna say, you didn't write that Hayley.

If Hayley lends me Wizard of Oz and someone else lends me Dark Side of the Moon I'll burn a DVD of it synched up how it is supposed to be.

Last night I watched God Told Me To, by Larry Cohen (who went on to do Phone Booth [which I still haven't seen]!). It was a kinda weird movie about people who kill people and claim that God told them to. The Catholic cop investigating starts getting deeper and deeper into a weird story of new-age Messiahs and artificial insemination. It was pretty cool, not what I was expecting (I thought it was just a standard horror movie) but I enjoyed it.

3.5/5 beans.

Me too.

Jarryd and I were trying to organise a fortnightly/monthly movie night but it never really happened. Should we try it again? We were gonna take turns between us all for hosting and choosing the movie.

I watched Wolf Creek the other night, I was pretty scared but no where near as scared as when I saw The Hills Have Eyes...

Anyway I give Wolf Creek

4/5 Beans

--edit---

I also watched Nacho Libre....well about half an hour of it anyway. It was pretty crap

From what I saw it gets 1/5 Beans from me

I've got a few gigs coming up too, if they clash I'll just miss the movie and come next time. But obviously I'll try not to miss out too often.
