My Del sol is up and running. I've rebuilt the transmission, and got it back in the car. It runs good, and works fine. Whoo hooo! It feels great to drive it again.

Post again after it survives a few parking lot rallies.

An update.

I've made 4 autocross days, and a 1000 mile trip. It's holding strong. It grinds a little, and not the smoothest shifting. What would you expect from used gears and syncros. Here's the better part. I got 34 mpg freeway going 65 to 75mph, pulling hills, with extra weight. Then I drafted a truck, going 63mph, and got a whopping 42mpg! Not bad for a b16 sol.

I'll rebuild it again with more desirable gear sets.

Jebus! That's a huge jump just for drafting. Makes me wonder what the z6 would get if I did that the whole way to the west side. [wonder]
