Hey Everyone! Just wondering if any meets have been planned yet for Oregon, or Washington, or maybe even Oregon AND Washington together??? (OK, maybe not so much Oregon and Washington, gas prices are CRAZY HIGH, and I don't want to make a lot of people drive a long ways, especially the VTEC owners who have to use Premium.)

Even though it hasn't been very warm lately, I can only expect the weather to get warmer soon. I haven't yet talked to Aaron or any of the Oregon solers yet, but I'd definetly like to have a meet, no matter how small. It's been ages!

Of course with all of our busy schedules, it can be kinda tough to have a meet, so I'd like to get some conversation going to so we can get a meet planned out!

OK, so far, no beginnings of a meet, so here goes....

I'll be in the Seattle area next weekend (17th/18th), but I don't know if I have time to make it to a meet, due to a very busy schedule. IF, there's a meet planned, I'll try and make it, but no guarantees. IF there's a Washington meet planned, please post a new thread, so I know if I should take my del Sol of my girl's Corolla. Regular vs. Premium gas on a trip makes a big diff. in the pocketbook.

I know, it's hardly a commitment, but hopefully it gets people thinking...

This is why it's so dang hard to get meets planned. Everybody's so dang busy, we can't just say...."Hey! Saturday, [Insert Date and Time Here], we'll be meeting at [Insert location here]. Then we'll [drive / have lunch, go to a drive-in movie, etc, etc.]. I used to try and get ideas from people, and that worked for awhile, but I think for the most part, we should just set an arbitrary date/venue and hope we have people show. Starting a thread for attendance is helpful too. Heck, eVite works really well for scheduling events....

[NinjaDogg steps off soapbox....breathes....] Sorry for rambling there..... just had to get that out...

Naw dude, it needed to be done. I'm seeing WA-ers asking about meeting up on SolSociety so I directed them here... so there is interest. It just needed to be kicked in the @$$ (what you did).

That's a great question...

I was hoping all my ranting and raving would prompt somebody, anybody to say, "Here's the place, here's the time", but since nobody has, I guess maybe I'll do it. I'll just have to check my calendar, since I know I'll be very busy soon.

I'll have to triple-check my calendar to find what weekend works for me, and whether or not I'll be in the Seattle area anytime soon. I know I'll probably be moving my brother to Bremerton the weekend of July 4th, but I don't know what car I'll be driving yet...

So I guess for now.... stay tuned? [thinking] [car]

Man, no takers for organizing anything, eh...?

Well, since there wasn't overwhelming response here, I'm thinking we should just do a local meet, so that people don't have to drive too far. (Gas prices are so dang high anyways!)

As far as I know, my schedule is free on June 21/22. Do any of you in the Portland area have any suggestions on where to meet or what to do? Arron, are you free that weekend, or are you racing?

So I was going to suggest a meet and AutoCrossing (for those interested) during the SCCA Novice School on July 5....but then I just found out that there's only 30 spots. It costs $55, which isn't too bad, but I'm just worried that the spots will fill up fast. That, and I'm tentatively out-of-town that weekend. Dang busy schedules...

Suggestions or comments anybody?
