You need a Honda crankshaft pulley removal tool to get the bolt to break free. It's kind of a hexagon shape that fits in where that nut is and you attach a breaker bar into it and when you go to turn the nut it moves the breaker bar and the bar hits the ground holding the pulley in place allowing just the nut to move.
Unfortunately my Del Sol was one of the few odd ball ones that didn't have the hexagon shape and was all round around the nut. I had to go to Sears and buy an impact wrench rated at 1,000 lbs to get it to break free.

Here is a link to my post about my water pump.....go about half way down and Geo shows a couple pictures of the tool. Just make sure you actually have that hexagon shaped area around the pulley nut or it won't work.

Dude, it doesn't take a special tool.

I changed the head/timingbelt/waterpump on my sol without anything special other than brute force, a semi big torque wrench and an extender for the wrench.

If you want help give me a time and i'll try to help.

like sunday? I'm supposed to work from 10:30am to 7pm, but it all depends on how the day goes.

it's possible i could get off around 4/5, but that all depends on how many people order pizza for their dads tomorrow = \

I hope everyone is outside making burgers and stuff so i dont have to work and if thats the case i'll be over, i live next to the 512 freeway on pacific so your not too far away.

That tool just keeps the pulley from moving while you try to break the nut free.....you still need brute force.

yeaaaa i saw that when i went to his house, i bet that woulda helped me when i did it the first time.

After that i torqued it to spec and haven't had a problem since. Oh, i also shoved a big screw driver into my flywheel so it would stop the crank pully from moving.

And in other news, i came over today (sunday) and pulled in your drive way and didn't see the sol, so i'm guessing you got it running? I left a bottle and a feeler gauge there for you to see if it would help a bit.
