I've got 2 main relays for sale from my 97 VTEC del Sol.

I bought these (and used them) because I'd thought I'd had problems w/ my main relay, but the problems were elsewhere.

1st replacement relay was purchased because I thought my fuel pump was dead. I swapped that, but no go. My car started when I put in the new relay. (Could've been something else too, as I'm now currently using the original relay.)

2nd replacement relay was purchased because I had trouble starting my car after running it for awhile, and then stopping, such as for gas. It seemed to be a heat issue, as I'd read can happen with the main relays, so I replaced it. It's really embarrasing to have a car not start at the gas station. Especially in the summer when you're cruising with the top off, and EVERY time you go to the gas station... They started to remember me for my car not starting.

Turns out the problem all along was my car alarm. Or lack of connection to it. When I bought the car alarm, the starter wires weren't hooked up to the brain for the starter disable, but rather a copper wire was just jammed into the two connecters to jump the wires. I removed the wire, and connected to my car alarm. I haven't had a problem since. That loose connection was my problem the whole time!

LONG STORY SHORT: I've got 2 perfectly good main relays for sale if anybody needs 'em. Send me an email, pls @ verisL@hotmail.com Shipping would be from Tualatin, OR. Local pickup would be great too.

Robert,

Yeah, I've still got the extra relays. They're the standard relay for the VTEC del Sol. Not sure if they're universal among other models, but I assume so. (We know how assumptions go, though.) I don't know the ratings off the top of my head, but I'll post when I get home.

Thanks,
-Veris

Oh, haha, this probably isn't what you're looking for. This is the "Main" relay, that is found under the dash. It flows power to your fuel pump and starter when you turn the key.

It's like the relay on this thread:

The relay your looking for is in the underhood fuse box and it's a 15A one. Did you "jump" the fan to see if it worked or not, also it could be the temp sensor is bad, the b's and d's used two temp sensors by the way. One for the fan and the other for the ECU and temp gauge.
