You have standard VOT,s It was common to mount the horn in the port, model doesn't matter can be done with all of them.

One of the reasons the sticker came separately...if put on in normal position it would be upside down in your app.

Again- nothing different about yours, it's the same speaker, just the horn in port as was commonly done.

One last thing before I probably just buy them from the guy on ebay.... 1st does anyone not think they look right?

2nd... what would your opinion be on me buying those 25 sheets of laser decal paper and printing all 25 of them and them selling sets of 4 on ebay for like $20 or something just to recoup my costs? Also, let someone else get a deal and not have to pay $40.

All opinions welcome!

You obviously don't "get it".

Now no one else will either. The image has been permanently removed.

You are obviously a dick. The reason I posted that on here was to make sure it would be ok with you before I did it since you posted the image, but now I don't really give a **** based on your post. I already downloaded the image and will be happy to give it to anyone who wants it. I wasn't trying to make money on this, I have plenty thanks. You can only order the decal paper in packs of 25. I don't need 25 stickers. I thought if I fronted the cost and printed 25 stickers, kept the 4 I needed and offeref the to others at a way cheaper rate than the guy pn ebay now (1/2 or less), that would help some other people out. I know I would feel better about spending $20 for 4 stickers than $40, not because of the money, just that $40 seems a little pricey for stickers. You obviously live in your own little world and if that is what the site is about, than I have little interest in it either as this is just a hobby for me to enjoy.

yeah, a nice normal guy, who thinks that anyone who wants this sticker for their speakers should be able to have it. I will not reply further to you on here, but I hope you know what a ridiculous person you are.

The philosophy (old school);

It was clearly explained why the decal image was made freely available for personal use. More than once. Although free to use, it wasn't free to produce or host.

I bought the originals...paid $50 for a lot they were in. I have around $2K in the scanner and PC used to produce the image. I hosted it on a private site that is part of a service I pay a monthly fee for. I have an investment.

Todd White hosts this site, and spends more of his own time and money doing it than you'll ever know. He has an investment.

Members that enjoy the forum enough to donate to its' support also have an investment.

All that was asked was it not be sold.

If recoup of printing cost is such a concern, just print the 4 you need (costs less anyway), and sell the extra blank decal paper if you must.

If you do sell some, I just hope your name isn't Earl....(you know, Karma's b*tch)

I can't say how normal bfish is, but he's been a plenty nice guy on this board since i've been here, and aside from that guy holdin' the possum, i cannot recall anything ridiculous about him. I have learned much from him/his posts as well as many others here. [Thumbs up]

Sorry you're not a few states closer bfish, 'cause i'd love to kick back and jaw about most anything over some cold ones with ya, along with our other veteran members here who would enjoy such indulgence. [Beer]

CC- as far as I am concerned until you apologize to the board and especially bfish- you are Persona non Grata-

We have been kind to you- bfish did the work and put that up for people to use.

If you even make a dime on those you are ripping off someone else's work. Apparently you aren't ethical enough to see that.

You've got two choices...back up take a deep breath and apologize, or keep making more enemies.

You didn't offer the sticker at your cost, which is what you should have done. If you did the work on the scan, it would have been a different story.

You may think free stuff is just that- but somebody paid or worked for it.

You selling those is no more ethical than a welfare person selling food stamps.

BTW, how much did bfish ask you to help recover all the time he put into it? Not a penny.

Use the resources here to help yourself..use them to make money, I get $100 an hour for that, if I am even willing to take the job.

I'm sure bfish does well too, he doesn't own his own company as I do...but the point is...you got value for nothing. You should follow thru in the same spirit.

Well…. Hmmm…..
I like to argue as much as the next guy but I wonder if the whole hostility angle is the best thing for this board. Most of the regulars that posted in this thread have helped me in one way or another over the years and I know them to be good people. This thread though, if it was the first thing you ever read here, might give another impression.

Just sayin, it may be better in the long run if newbies get a little more leeway, a chance to adjust to the culture before they get harsh reactions when they cross a line.

I agree Marty.

I appreciate the supporting posts, but I'm a big boy and can defend myself quite well. Many of us are close enough that we protect and defend our friends, but then it becomes a gang bang, drags everyone down, and as Marty said, just isn't very representative of what we're really about.

Nobody owes me any apologies for anything. I got called a dick because I AM a dick. No harm, no foul. I'm not offended in the least.

Since there's absolutely nothing of value in this thread (the resized image is no longer suitable for quality printing), if it just went away might be a good thing.

Cool with you CC?

yeah, I'm over it. I just threw the $20 number out there off the top of my head... It's $40 for the 25 pages of decal paper, I thought maybe I would sell one set and have $20 into the stickers. If you read back to the beginning I really just wanted someone to go in on them with me.... seemed like a waste to make 25 of these when I needed 4. I'll just go ahead and buy the ones off the guy on ebay.... just makes life easier. Take it easy all...

Hey sorry. I admit to having a short fuse, but only a few things trigger it...

I have no issue with starting over.

But remember, I just dealt with a psycho who later changed what he said he'd done, then hassled me by email, then rejoined here under a fake name so he could send me PM's...so my feelings are not all paranoia...just enough to cause problems sometimes...

I purposely left this thread alone for two reasons:

1. My mother is very ill with the final stages of ovarian cancer, and we're spending most of our days at her home caring for her - thus, I don't have a lot of time to get "into" the forum much right now, except to check in every day or so to make sure it hasn't caught fire and blown up.

2. I had faith in the members here that they would "handle it" in time, which is precisely what happened. Aside with problems with RomyTheCat, TonyNZ (plus his TWO aliases), and one other who's name I can't remember right now, this is a pretty self-regulated bunch that needs little "supervision."

Thanks for being gentlemen, guys - even when you slip from that lofty perch, you always get back to it in short order...

Ok, I am going to try this one more time before I buy the ones off the guy on Ebay. Hopefully I won't phrase this wrong, so please try and cut me some slack.

I still think it makes the most sense if a few people needed these stickers to have some made and split the cost.

If I am willing to buy the 25 pages of decal paper, have the stickers printed and cut, would anyone be interested in some stickers at my cost on them? In other words just have a few people chip in to make the batch and we can split the stickers. Is anyone interested in this? If not, no worries, I'll just order them from ebay.

It just seems a shame, since obviously their are people who need these for their speakers and are paying this guy on ebay $40 a set (if you look at his history, he has sold a bunch and he has told me that some people take multiple sets), that a few of us could get together that need these and have it cost us very little per person.

Seems like that would be what a community like this would be for.... like minded individuals etc...

Hopefully, me proposing this on here is ok. If not, feel free to delete it. Otherwise if anyone is interested please let me know a.s.a.p., as otherwise I am just going to buy them of this guy.

Dividing the cost of production is completely cool, and furthers the goal of why I put the image up. I want eveyone that needs them to have them too, as economically as possible. Where there's no profit for the individual, there's profit for the group. A bit Socialist perhaps, but then we're a social group, and that's what makes it special. A few dollars profit are soon spent and forgotten. Friendships last. [rainbow]

CC, thanks for sticking around.

I can supply you with a set of decals, they're copies and look very good from a couple feet away.

If you're interested, drop me a PM and i'll send you a hi res pic.

Price would be a donation to this board via the moderator if this is within etiquette and OK by him.

EDIT: FWIW, my copies are made from an original unstuck decal which i still have, made before i was a member here. I only made enough to cover my personal consumption, since i've sold a couple pairs of 815 cabs less decals, it's left with with an extra set or two and this seems like mutually beneficial and appropriate way to pass them on.
