Todd's mother, Betty Lou White passed away on May 1st. I'd like to take a moment to express sympathy and extend a long-distance arm of friendship and support to Todd and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.-------------------- bfish "We're going ALL the way, till the wheels fall off and burn!" Bob Dylan, from Brownsville Girl

Thanks friends - it means a lot.It was a long (six year) battle with ovarian cancer - not something I'd wish on anyone - but now she's no longer suffering. As an aside - it was her love of music that got me interested in music and sound. Her nephew, who will be retiring from a professional sound contracting business in OKC this year, got me started in messing with sound stuff when I was very young. He worked back then for a large Altec dealer, and was always showing me speakers, amps, pictures of installations, etc., when I was 7 or 8, and that's what got me interested. One of the compliments I heard often after designing and installing a new, say, church sound system, when I was an Altec Lansing Professional Engineering Sound Contractor was that my systems always sounded very natural, and the reinforcement of the music was always commented on as being "transparent". Of course, the Altec products went a long way to making this happen, but I also know that it was my musical background that helped me fine tune each system to a degree some other contractors I competed with never were able to achieve. I owe that ability to listen critically and adjust a system in such a way to Mom, who taught me from before I was born to love and appreciate good music. She's missed greatly - thankfully I have a few recordings of her playing the piano. They'll always be treasured. Thanks again, guys... -------------------- Todd W.
