I bought an old beat up organ that had to be trashed. It was an old 58 0r 61 baldwin that had 6L6 based amp. It had two speakers, etc. To make it short, I ripped the parts and trash the organ. Believe me, it was badly damaged. I found two may be 12 inch speakers. Does anyone have any infos about them?

And a whole bunch of bumble bees.

Bfish. I reckoned that this is right of your alley.

Thanks. Tim

I'm not very familiar with Baldwins. Post some pics or at least the frame numbers. With minimal effort, most tube organ amps and speakers make fine guitar/instrument amps.

Happy Birthday Mr Fish!

Many Conns and some Baldwins had a boatload of 12Ax7's/12AU7's up top in the tone generators, most of which usually test at or near new after all these years.

Dunno which model you have Timp, just make sure ya don't toss anything of value.

Thanks, Bowtie. I spent the first 50 living for today like there was no tomorrow. Big Fun. I can even remember a lot of it. I woke this AM with empty pockets and a throbbing toothache and realized tomorrow had arrived. What do I do now?

Yeah, lots of goodies in the old organs, don't forget the grillcloth. Some had sterling silver, gold, or palladium in the key contacts. Project wire of every color. A working instrument is far greater than the sum of its' parts, but when it's time to retire....hmmm....I hope no one tries to part me out before I'm ready...

Hey Bfish

I didn't know it was your b-day! Happy birthday!
Sorry to hear about your toothaches. No matter what happens, don't mix beer with tylenols. No sir!

Bowtie. Ur right about the tubes. I got me some 30 plus 12au7s (Raytheons but very microphonic) and 30 plus RCA black plates 12ax7s. Some are noisey but some are ok. Too bad I already threw away the keyboards and stuffs. But kept the parts. Let me assure you though, it was really beat up...dead! Someone probably dropped it from 19 story building.

Thanks for the reply.

Tim

Thanks Tim. Don't worry, with my substance tolerance, tylenol is like peeing in the breeze. Vicodin, clove oil, and a corn liquor chaser almost has me primed for a little DIY dentistry, but my tired old eyes aren't focusing well enough yet...wait a minute...cleaning the mirror might help...oh yeah, that's better. Now, where's those forceps? [party]

OT-send me your address, and I'll get those xfmrs in the mail.

I think he was talking about numbered Tylenol's

I thought the 4 meant you were supposed to take 4 of them....didn't feel the toothache much any more.

Happy B-day!

Happy birthday Brad! I didn't see this yesterday...

Do you remember the Monty Python skit where the doctor came to the door to collect an organ from the organ donor? I can't remember what he needed, but he pushes the guy back on a table, and starts to cut in!

Hope you get your dental problems fixed.

Thanks everyone. The 'morning after' proved to be a better day. Hope my dentist doesn't miss a payment on his HumVee on my account. He's always looked at me funny after hiring me years ago to do an after-hours office intercom install, and when he came back later to let me out, found a completed job, and me in the chair with a bad case of the giggles...

Good one Richard, I remember it. When friends call me, they often mention hoping they didn't interrupt me playing with my organ.
