I've read with interest about the other folks here and decided to add a bit about myself. I am happily married and live in Maryland. I have two grown sons. I worked as a mathematician for four years until we started multiplying. I stayed home to raise my children then rejoined the working world as a teacher of basketmaking, fitness and line dancing. My favorite movies include Some Like it Hot,
all of the Marylin Monroe comedies, the Pink Panther movies, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, A New Leaf, French Kiss, and the Road movies with Bob Hope. My present favorite tv shows are Babylon 5, Farscape, Drew Carey, Futurama, Red Dwarf, Columbo, and Poirot. Favorite authors at this time: Cherryh, Bujold, Joan Hess, M.C. Beaton, Tamar Meyers,
Lawrence Block. Favorite music: most music actually, except rap with cruelty as a message, singers who scream instead of sing, jazz which wanders around. Likes: cats, friends, jokes, reading, visiting art museums, the beach, quiet contemplation, learning, music, Netsuke, intricate carvings, funny movies, flowers, talking with people, playing on the internet, dancing, teaching,... Dislikes: cruelty, dust, bugs, being lied to, music that is so loud it damages hearing, my computer crashing, stupid commercials, thinking about things I don't like. :-) I am also a PF refugee- came to scifivine on the second wave.

Hellooo... thought I’d stop by and say hi. Azziz pointed the way and I wanted to wave at you all.I am me. I tend to stay relatively private. Suffice it to say I am married, have two daughters, spend too much time online and am currently divided between sites... never mind which ones. *g* I am actually a fantasy fan although I love Asimov and Clarke for some odd reason. LOL. I never quite got into B5, but enjoyed the episodes I did catch. TV: Whose Line Is It Anyway? Ed and Providence. Music: Creed, AC/DC, Metallica *beware the quiet ones* Books: Totally into Patricia Cornwell’s Scarpetta series, catching up on Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series... gave up on Robert Jordan. *snort* Movies: I have two children under three -- *snickering* I am lucky to make it to the video rental store. Suffice it to say a recent showing of Airplane! kept me happy for days... That’s all for now... oh yes. I found SFV (SFS) nearly two years ago, and recently have found myself surfing around a bit.
