Hi I'm JaceSan,

I've been fascinated with Sci-Fi ever since I was a kid. I think I was about 9 or 10 when I first read Dune, Starship Troopers, and others. I used to like to watch the old Flash Gordon serial episodes on TV after school. I know you could see the strings holding the spaceships and all, but it was still fun to watch.

My most recent obsession was with William Gibson. Some friends of mine and I were playing a sort of Sci-Fi/ Fantasy role-playing game called Shadowrun. Maybe you've heard of it, maybe not. Anyway I'd heard about Gibson's Nueromancer book, but had never read it. After reading the book I realized that the people who developed the Shadowrun game took Gibson's world and added magic and other races.

Just last month I found most of his other books in a used book store and grabbed them all to read while school was out for Winter break. His most recent, All Tomorrow's Parties is great. I still need to hunt down the collection of short stories that were put together in Burning Chrome.

Hey there Jace, welcome!

I used to play in a Shadowrun Email game that feel apart quickly. It was too bad, I like the system and would have liked to learn it better.

Read your post in TV, Erin Grey was pretty darn cute, I would have gone into dork dom if I met her to!

Hi, everybody!

It's Absom. I decided to follow the crowd.

I have also been a SciFi fan since I was a small human. Loved B5 and Star Trek. Also have a soft spot in my head for Red Dwarf. We have a satellite dish, so I was delighted to find Red Dwarf on the BBC this month starting from the very first episodes, which I missed the first time 'round.

I am also a devoted lover of Archaeology and Paleontology. Have one son who is a Paleontologist and teaches at the local University. Other son has computer business.

I am a retired Optician and have also owned an antiques shop. In my zany youth, I did some modeling. Although I've been lax in my attention to the tasks since getting interested on the Internet, I have done some published writing and have painted in oil and watercolor.

Came here via SFV and Pathfinder. Glad to find a new Zocalo.

I have been happily married for many, many, moons. My husband is also a retired Optician, but found a new career.

Hey, ya'll. I was fanuilh at Pathfinder (spit) and fanuilh Istari/Fanuilh G'Kar at SFV, but somebody here already had "fanuilh" when I signed up. Hmmmm.

I'm retired military, spent 20 years in the Air Force. I live in SC with my husband, four dogs and two cats.

I was watching ST:TOS when it was originally aired, too, Merle. Also loved Dark Shadows, although I could only watch when my mother wasn't home (or wasn't paying attention); she hated it.

I'm a member of the NES (NeverEndingStory), B5 fanfic. We're in another location, I think, now that SFV is dying.

I'm also a musician, took the flute back up again a little over two years ago after a 24 year break. I'm getting better! :-)

Just east of Columbia, about 30 miles, near Shaw Air Force Base. Sumter is the closest town.

You sure it wasn't something you cooked yourself?
