Final Scores in the GNAC.

Seattle Pacific 74, Western Washington 66
Central Washington 69, Northwest Nazarene 66

We could have a giant problem on our hands if Central Washington wins Saturday night.

How can Seattle move in front of us? They only have one game this week. We may have to play San Bernardino in Anchorage in the first round. I just can't see how they could give it to Seattle over us.

They can't.

If they gave it to Seattle over us, than there would only be 2 CCAA teams in the tourney, 4 from the GNAC and 2 from the pac west. That would not work. No matter what the scenarios, it doesn't seem likely that they would exclude the conference co-champs from the tourney.

It's hard to say Seattle doesn't belong in the post season, but I don't know what else can happen. It seems like we don't know what will exactly happen. I just hope HSU doesn't get the screws. Glad I'm not a Seattle fan and I'm glad we beat Seattle in the East gym this year.

It looks like the CCAA got their $hit together is is going to video webcast the semi and final games of the tourney. I would probably be more into it if Humboldt were there, but I will probably still watch.

Here's a link, but if you go to the 'yote website you can find more info (I think that is the first time I have EVER said those words)

Looks like about 150 at the Pomona game. I bet they are happy they had the tournament at SB instead of HSU where they would have had 1400 a game.

I don't know if I would like to face Pomona in the first round if I was Anchorage. That might be a pretty good game. My guess is that HSU will play Chaminade. Both Will and Grayson may have pneumonia. I thought Will wasn't up to par on Tue. Hopefully everyone will be ready by Thurs. This has been a tough year for injuries and illness.

Pomona-UCSD championship game.

How bad is their illness? The Humboldt crud's been pretty prevalent this winter.

I think that Anchorage is in for a shocker if the Broncos win tonight. They have big men(Daniels, Neveu, Booker) who can focus on Arts. If that frenchman hits his outside shots,Anchorage will be in for a long night. I think they match up better against SD and would prefer to play them.

Gordon and Daniels are making the plays down the stretch right now. Daniels has had three nice games in a row. He has excellent shooting touch for a big man, kind of like Arts.

Did you guys who watched last night notice that Angelo wasn't getting the calls on all those flops? I think Pomona would be even better if he stayed on his feet more and concentrated on playing instead of faking injury like a European soccer player!

YES, I DID notice that he was flopping all over the place and not getting the fouls. He must be this years winner of the Annual Jake Chrisman(BYUH) Big Flopper Award.

I got a better award for him. The Vlaid Divac Flopper Award.

Looking at this conference tournament, I will find it hard to believe that the conference turned a profit on this event.

When they look back this event, the highest attended game did not crack 500 in an arena that seats over 4,100. A lot of this was due to the fact that Cal State San Bernardino lost on both the women's and the men's tournaments. On top of that, Humboldt State lost in the first round. Humboldt State get strong draws on the road as our supporters would have been down there if they got to the semifinals and the finals. If Cal State San Bernardino was in the semifinals, I think the draw would have been bigger, too.

The end results was that the conference had the worst possible scenario for this inaugural event. San Bernardino and Humboldt were out in the first round and that killed the attendance numbers for the semifinals and the finals.

I see this tournament continuing in the future and I hope that the CCAA would find their 12th school as soon as possible. That way we can split the conference into two division and have a 16 game conference schedule and these schools could have up to 11 non conference games. Then, and only then a conference tournament be absolute necessary to decide the automatic berth. I think having 20 to 22 conference games is overkill on conference play. It's too many games to decide who is the conference champion.

That's my solution to fix the CCAA Tournament.

If you're going to play 20 conference regular season games, the conference champion should be determined by regular season play. The conference tournament is a stupid way to determine the champion after such a long season.

I know they are looking for a 12 team and if I have to bet they would like a so cal school. I have been hearing that one of the possible team that want to move div II is cal state san marcos which would easily split the conference into the north. with Humboldt,Sonoma, SF State, Monterey, Chico, and Stanislaus. South San bernardino, Pomona, Dominguez, LA, UCSD, and San Marcos.

I have also heard that UCSD evntually might move to DIV I so the CCAA might be looking for two teams that want to move up

We should have convinced Notre Dame de Namur to join the CCAA instead of their crappy league. They would be a good fit, except that they are a private school and the rest of us are state schools.
