Hi everyone,
I am new to this message board, but I'm desperately searching for answers. I found out today that I am at risk for placenta accreta. ( spelling?) I have an anterior placenta and this was found out at 20 weeks. I am 28 weeks now and have never heard of this before today. I'm 28 years old and this is my fifth child, fourth c-section. I have heard a lot of horror stories about this and even that there may be a possibility of me not living through the delivery of my child. I'm scared to death and I just was wondering if anyone knows how much of a risk there is for me to have placenta accreta and what the chances that if I do that I will survive it. I don't know if I should be seeing a specialist or getting an MRI or what. I'm very confused about what to do and my doctor really doesn't sense the urgency of the situation. It breaks my heart that there's a chance that I won't even be able to meet my baby or be there for my kids. I just need answers now. Thank you for any information in advance.
