Though hardships drive us to despair,
Press on the Lord is near.
When trials and tribulations come,
Call out, the Lord will hear.

Up life’s steep path we will traverse,
With Christ to lead the way.
He is our guide, our strength, a friend,
Refreshing us each day.

Though trials arise that test our faith,
Christ draws us towards the path
That goes not down, but up to heav’n,
Away from Satan’s wrath.

He takes us through life’s darkest trials
To his bright Heav’nly home;
So we, at last, rejoice with him
At rest, no more to roam.

Our God our guide throughout this life,
Our strength lest we may fall,
Protects, preserves and brings us through
Our journey when we call.

Praise to the Lord who reigns above,
A friend who’s by our side.
Praise Him who shelters us with love,
In Him I will abide.

This hymn was written out of my passion for the Lord, and knowing that this is true. Though we may come upon trials, the Lord is always there to lead us through. Praise the Lord
