If you were roaming around Rome..and found an old gold coin dated 12 BC..what do you think it would be worth???

Nothing. It would be counterfeit.

If you had only one match, and entered a dark room containing an oil lamp, some newspaper, and some kindling wood, which would you light first?

A 50 cent piece (not a nickel) and a nickel.

August 13th, 2005, 03:14 PM
There are two coins on the table which total 55 cents. One of them is not a nickel. What are the two coins on the table?

OK OK, So y'all wanna play ruff, Huh!

Start with three coins: a penny, a nickel and a quarter. Say, "Tommy's mother has three children. The first child's name is Penny." (Hold up the penny while saying this.) "The second child's name is Nick." (Hold up the nickel.) What is the third child's name? (Hold up the quarter.)

A 10 foot rope ladder hangs over the side of a boat with the bottom rung on the surface of the water. The rungs are one foot apart, and the tide goes up at the rate of 6 inches per hour. How long will it be until three rungs are covered?

ok ok back to the gold coin...the answer is in the "bc"...you were right about it being a fake. But gold is at 400.oo an ounce LOL

call me silly..but doesn't the boat float???..So if the tide rises...so will the boat so the rungs should not be coverd with water..right???

August 21st, 2005, 05:42 PM
Mum, You ain't silly, A boat will float causing the ladder to rise also. Keeping the bottom rung even with the water.
Good Job.

Mum, aren't you the only one going to St Yves?

August 25th, 2005, 09:35 AM
It's indeed non-specific on the exact destination of the other folk.

This thread really makes me feel really, really, really dumb. (I don't even have proper adjectives available right now, *that* dumb.) I don't have to sit here and take that kind of put-me-downs from people I'm not sleeping with!

*Running for the door*

August 25th, 2005, 01:08 PM
I met them standing in front of their store...they weren't going anywhere...I was the one going..*sticking out tongue*

Why is it against the law for a man living in North Carolina to be buried in South Carolina?

A man LIVING in North Carolina shouldn't be buried in South Carolina, or anywhere else for that matter!!! He isn't dead yet!
