Last year my son played JV we went to Pound for a scrimmage. Got there and it seems that the coach had decided it was "too wet to play on the field" . Appy's coach wanted to play some anyway, they went up to the baseball field or the softball field- but it seemed they had already knocked the JV off for the day and we would get the second team varsity. Then I noticed there sure were a lot of second team parents watching, wonder how they knew the varsity was gonna play?. Later, after we had a bunch quit varsity, and most everybody...well everybody that was 9th grade and above move up to varsity, we took a team of 8th graders back to play and I can remember finding 3 of the linemen on the varsity roster, sophmores , listed above 200 lbs. Seems like things look strange from the other end!

    not to spuds.

You all may say coon hunters post is ignorant, but the truth is kelly IS 0 and 17. I think 90% of the JV team in pound isn't even in high school. so what is even the point of bringing juniors and sophmores down? Kelly is probabally going to lose anyway, so why not just let them get some playing time in on varsity against some "tougher competition"

    Re: This Forum

I kinda showed myself on the other topic so I apologize for that.

now, im not going to try not to bash anyone, im going to try and show my opinion.

    Its legal

    parents dont play football

most of the pound jv didnt care

    I needed the playtime

if they didnt want to get beat, they could have brought some sophomores and juniors, we wouldnt have cared.

The only problem I have is that pound didnt stay to shake hands....

    Re: This Forum

I said the post was ignorant. Why? Because it was all about getting someone who didn't touch the field on varsity some playing time. "Getting a win" had nothing to do with it, as we all know JV WINS AND LOSSES mean nothing.
