Nelson finished Kimbo early in the 2nd, TKO.

Nelson was simlpy a better fighter, he is a good fighter. But both fighters did okay, Nelson was able to get him down and lay on top and land some shots, but they didnt do much damage at all. Kimbo could not get Roy off him.

I was midly impressed with Kimbo, he hit Nelson hard, and did some damage. Kimbo won the stand up. But he isnt Nelson caliber on the ground, nothing close.

Kimbo was exactly what I thought he would be like - so-so standup with some decent power, nonexistent ground game. Roy Nelson looked OK. He basically laid on top of Kimbo and kept tapping him in the forehead with punches until they stopped the fight. It's unbelievable that they hyped it up so much just for that sorry excuse for a fight. I was hoping it would be an all-out war, with hands flying everywhere, some amazing ground-game fighting going on, and so forth.

I'm pretty sure Kimbo will be fighting again this upcoming time, though. Marcus Jones is nothing but trouble. The guy just isn't built to be a fighter. He already showed he had no cardio in the first episode and now he's injured, collapsing, and all that good stuff. He should go find another job or hobby.

Kimbo looked better than Nelson. All Nelson did was trip him and take him down and then hit him with little, non damaging shots. He crucified him and Kimbo couldnt defend himself. I expected more from Nelson with the caliber of bjj he has.

That fight sucked.... it was horrible, boring, and not great at all.

Roy just laid on him, and that was that. He just did powder puff taps on his head, and Kimbo couldn't muscle off the big bellied country Nelson.
Roy won't last in this competition, I was not impressed with him, especially being former IFL champ

The only thing I know for sure is it is a great fight. Kimbo and others have all said the fight was a great fight, Kimbo even said it was the best fight of his career, so I just hope it lives up to the hype

Biggin, yeah I use IE. Been thinking of switching, probably should.

Kimbo looks better than he did, but still really lost on the ground.

Eh like Dana Said Roy did enough to get by.

I think he will be fine in this competition. He did what he had to do and like what Gotch said he called his shot. He said if you hit a guy so many times with the ref aware of the count number he will have to stop it if the guy don't defend. He said it before the fight. Or at least is was put that way in the show.

He called his shot? I never heard Nelson say once he was gonna crucifix Kimbo and TKO him.

Nelson has looked better, he didn't look good at all tonight, he is usually more active on the ground.

Kimbo was doing decent, he landed that good shot on roy and looked like he got him good, but couldnt follow up.
Marcus hasn't been impressive so far, but Ive seen one of his fights, he is a monster. He can fly, and hits like a truck. But he doesn't seem to be mentally focused or very tough.

No but he said if the ref is aware of how many times you have hit a guy without them defending he will stop it.

Here is the post I was referring to.

Re: Boxing/MMA Fights - local, national, world

From what I saw, the fight was stopped because kimbo was not able to get out from under nelson.

he landed tons of punches, but they didn't do much damage. but he did do exactly like he said, he wasn't throwing power punches, but he was landing a lot.
