Hi,
I'm new and new in general to collecting American Girl dolls. I received a Bitty Baby and Felicity for Christmas. My Mom also bought Bitty Baby for my daughter.
I bought a stand to display Felicity, but the stand is too tight for Bitty Baby. Does anyone have any tips regarding how I can display her?
Also, I have seen some posts regarding silver eyes. How do these occur?
Thank you!
Maureen

Silver eye is something that just happens to the dolls, even Bitty, but I'm unsure of the reason why. The head will be replaced for free by American Girl if this happens.
I don't know of a stand for Bitty, we usually have her lying around somewhere, in her crib, or in the new highchair we got for xmas, which is very cute, BTW!

Silver eye occurs because something (usually water getting into the eye) weakens the bond between the colored, rubber "cornea" in the doll's eye, and it comes loose from the clear part of the eye. Air pockets form between the two and, as a result, the eye develops a silver, reflective appearance.
Silver eye can also appear spontaneously, with no real catalyst being apparent.

I guess I will just have to get creative. Perhaps I can buy the crib and then stand her in there, I am not sure if that will work though. Of course the bedding for the crib is sold out until May... Why so long I wonder??
Thank you for you help though!

You can buy stands of various sizes from doll supply and craft stores
