it's a tree-rat with a puffy tail
That was me - squirrels ate my firggin pumpkins two weeks before halloween and made my son cry. I vowed to kill them all and string the bastards up.
Never did it though... but next year, I'll be ready!

I love squirrels. Used to feed them by hand when I lived at home with my parents. They would actually pound on the sliding door demanding to be fed.
One day a squirrel got a little overanxious and came in the house as soon as I slid open the door. It's like we both went "OH SHIT!" at the same time. He panicked, turned around and jumped on the drapes. I started freaking out thinking I'm gonna be chasing this squirrel all through the house! Fortunately, clearer heads prevailed and the squirrel made for the door.
Great pics Drau! What part of the pumpkin does the squirrel actually eat? It looks like he's ignoring the seeds.
Squirrels are delicious, especially in stew.

Damn, that's like the JAWS of the squirrel kingdom!
Most everyplace I've lived has had sqirrels. Two winters ago they even formed a nest in the crevices of the woodwork under the roof yawning. They couldn't be quiet while doing it either.
Besides that, there's a lone squirrel by the local walk track that guards his nut stash in a tree, and chases people.
LOL, Tortracide!!! Great story. I like squirrles too - they remind me of the gerbils I had growing up.
Andy, I have no idear; the wife took those pics. But from the amount of debris - I'd guess he was after the "meat" rather than seeds
