I worked on a lot of the fx work for the film and saw the premier on wednesday..had some lame stuff, but had a lot of fun/cool stuff too, IMO

I find the Mayan civilization interesting, but I'll probably wait for the DVD.

I hear it's fairly bloody, though.

I am afraid I won't be able to say until DVD as well, as I don't go to the movies when they are in the theater, only see them when it comes out on DVD.

It is one that is on our list of movies to pick up when hits DVD

I saw this movie over the weekend & loved it. It's not a "perfect" movie, but it looked great. A bit too Hollywoodized, and historical accuracy is thrown out the window, but I forgave those discrepancies because the pace of the action was great, and it really immersed me in the world of those people.

SPFX, what specifically did you do concerning the make-up/production?

    yay! glad you liked it!
and i totally agree, if you don't take the movie too seriously, its a lot of fun

    possible spoilers...
the things i helped with were the tapir in the beginning, howler monkeys, jaguar attack, newborn baby, the pregger belly, the spear/arrow through the guy's mouth, and the cutting of the swollen eye, maybe a few more things, i can't remember
