hey, i am new to super 8 filming so i was hoping someone on here could help me out. I have a bolex 155 camera, and i want to film something at night. There will be some light, (christmas lights), but not a lot because it will be outside. would this work, or will i just get a bunch of black? does anyone have any suggestions on techniques or types of film that would help me with this? thanks so much!

It's going to be tough with that camera as it has auto only iris, though I think ou can lock it down on one stop. Not sure what it's cart keyed for with regard to film speed as the camera came out when 160 was the highest speed film you could get. Your choice of film should probably be Vision 500 T negative, though 200 may work. I know some who prefer shooting the 200 and pushing a stop.

That's about all I can offer from the information provided.

I would say that even with 500 ASA super-8 film stock you will still need some ambient light to give a general fill in to your shot.
