    Projecting Single Frames

I need to be able to project super 8 film frame-by-frame in order to rotoscoping (tracing each frame onto a surface to make an animation).

My question is, does anyone know of a projector that I will be able to advance exactly one frame each time?

    Thanks a lot.

For a projector to do what you want, there has to be a special drop down dimming plate that cuts down the heat that reaches the film frame. The problem is that the heat will still melt the frame in a relatively short amount of time.

Probably your best bet is to google LED film projectors and see what comes up.
