    I'm Richard Samuels, professional videographer.
I saw Jaws when I was 7 in 1976 and decided that I wanted to make movies.

I'm David, from Reno, Nevada. I'm a recovering engineer and have been autocad free since 1995. I'm still trying to find out what to do with my life. On a whim I bought a super8 at the Salvation Army, got one of those cartridge thingies, and fell in love with the beautifully-exposed black and white images of me and my friends messin around. Now I'm hooked....

"retired" when I was 50 courtesy of UK government, and any UK teacher reading this will know that 97 was the last chance year! Actually I went out the day before Tony came in.

    Started on Standard 8 in the 60s - BS8 (before super 8)

Mainly a collector of cameras - and experimenter with home processing - as wll as snap shot home movies.

Have got into super-8 by buying a Russian super-8 camera, although I was into it through single-8 before that.

Recently processed rolls of Tri-X and Pan-X to negative and reversed on the computer. When I first tried home processing Ilford FP4 was then available as regular-8 on 100 feet rolls. My one and only exercise in colour was using FerraniaColour.

Presently working on relaoading Kodak 16mm cassettes, possibly Kodak 8mm cassettes and Russian reloadable super-8 casettes.

No pretensions about being a film maker. Quite happy to show my efforts on the web site below.

If you are into Narrow Gauge Railways, Motorcycles and cine than you might find the site interesting.

    Ivan

    I'm 18.

I was born in the beautiful city of St. Petersburg (Leningrad when i lived there), Russia. I moved to Los Angeles when i was 8 and have lived here ever since.

I'm unemployed. I do it all though, at least i try to learn as much as i can and do it. From sound engeneering, recording, mixing and editing. I make my own music. I edit, do cinematography. I'm kind of controling when making something. Because i don't trust how people will or WHAT people will do to my work. But my ultimate dream is to be a director. Which i will officially start calling myself after i complete a film which i am trully proud ofon my new Super 8 ELMO.

    Hello guys,

Im Scott Sarver, 26 years old and am assistant editor at a television production company called Lauch Pad Productions. I'm finishing my last semester at California State University Northridge (heh Alex, didn't you graduate from there) and have been shooting Super 8 for a few years now...its a long story but shooting super 8 was the reason I landed my editing job. I am currently working on "The Practice, Dharma and Greg", and "Everybody Loves Raymond".

Word of advice, the business is extremely tough to break into...don't give up and keep plugging away...someone will notice. Just make sure to not foget about what's important...and it's not the money, nor fortune and fame.

my name is yann and im berlin based filmstudent on an art academy
i shoot most stuff on 8mm and 16mm

i like shooting on my beaulieu 5008s, and my r16, which is a really nice camera.

at the moment i try to find ways between music, art and super8flair contrasted to the impact of digital ways, since the dv formats get cheaper and better.(which doesnt mean, that i try to copy the soul, but to shoot on origin material and edit nonlinear)
