Hass, are you going on tour again with Scofield? Is the "Ray" band going to do another recording. If not, will we see with Scofield in the future?

I saw you guys in Seattle and it was one of the best musical experiences of my life. Maybe because like you, I have an eclectic taste in music and love everything from Aretha to John Zorn. This version of The John Scofield Band was one of the best I have ever seen because of the vast genre's the band was able to to just burn on. You guys touched on everything I love about music.

Steve, what's up bro! I hope everything is well. I see that you're going to be in DC this weekend. I think I'm going to check you out on October 7 - Sylvan Theatre, Washington DC with John Scofield Band. Let me know if we can hook up just to chill for a min. Everything is going really well down in VA/DC for me. I have actually been working a lot down here. I have been practicing a lot and I feel good. I see Swiss Chris is doing his thing too with JL. I really miss Astoria. When I do go I always hit the Zinc bar religiously though. I went to the MD festival in Jersey last month. Aaron Spears is ridiculous. Check out my blog at www.myspace.com/johnnyvalencia Listen to the tune posted and give me some feed back if you get a min. I was sitting in doing some improve stuff in DC. Anyway, let me know what's up.
    Peace....

Steve, your work with Scoman was just amazing. Understated, and then at the right moment, WHACK! In the pocket like no one else and that swing, just beautiful.
I hope to see that band again soon!

Hey funk! Thanks man. That's what I strive for.
I hope that at some point, John revisits that group. It was a unique band, we had a lot to live up to. Johns main rhythm sections has been with him for about 20 years. Most of his other bands have had the luxury of rehearsing, recording, and touring for longer than 2 years. We did 2 years. By the end of the last year, it was really killin! We reached the point of really getting musically inside each other. As soon as it felt really right, the tour ended. HA!
I loved playing with John and the cats, and hanging with them was great too! I hope to do it again soon.
    Thanks Funk!
    HASS:-)
