Interesting topic. I tend to prefer highly competitive sexfights especially when we have a limited view of the characters.

In longer, multiple character stories by authors such as Angel and several others, I feel you can have a broader variety of outcomes. (e.g. ties, tainted victory, clear winner,"squash" win, etc...)(Note: Granted there may be some "scripted" wrestling storyline influences creeping in which may not only influence how I see a match but also the resulting consequences.)

Ties - I tend to see these as "to be continued..." matches.
Close or tainted wins - tend have me anticipate a rematch
Other types - can be used to help build the character

As a writer of multiple character stories, I think you have summed up my desired approach perfectly. Imagine if every single outcome that I write becomes effectively the same outcome: a tie between two perfectly matched characters. I think the stories would start to become a bit...predictable. And lack a certain amount of dramatic tension.

I'm certainly not averse to tied outcomes: for example in my current Edinburgh Excursion story the girls are paternal half-sisters, and virtual doppelgangers of each other when it comes to sexual strength and prowess. So far, they have only experienced mutual shared orgasms. In the final part to be posted soon....well, I'm still gonna keep folk guessing! ...

Thanks for starting a really good thread discussion but I think you really need to get out and read more! There are plenty of stories containing ties, or near ties once you start exploring The HUGE list of female rivalry's erotic stories !

It's funny, but I feel exactly the opposite. I hate reading stories that end in ties, they feel unfinished and unresolved. It's like if you were watching a TV show and it ended in a cliffhanger, but the series got cancelled before it could get a real ending. For me, a good sexfight has a winner and a loser.

"You play to win the game!" had to drop a quote from a former NFL coach who could always provide a good sound bite. I agree that the ultimate goal of any fight is to win.
