PROBLEM WITH THE FORUM (temporary we hope!)

Dear forum users,

A Penman and I have encountered corruption problems with a number of our stories and although we haven't checked it all that systematically it seems the issue is widespread, affecting Shak and others.

I'm not a technician, but it seems to relate to a known 'stack overload' software issue where the characters ?'? show on page instead of normal punctuation such as ? ' ?.

Right now this problem renders stories involving the correct the use of punctuation (most we hope!) pretty unreadable so the matter has been reported to XP for resolution as a matter of urgency.

It may be that the issue clears itself later automatically, or you are not seeing this in your own browser, but AP and I are sufficiently worried to want to see it cleared up right away.

I wonder if this is related to the threads that were closed and now are reopened with deleted posts marked? Could be something forum specific.

I wonder if this is related to that person who just left, and IDed him/her self with about 5 different usernames, AND was constantly complaining and insulting our authors

I first noticed it 2 days ago as it affected all of my stories. At first I thought I did something wrong and it made me sad, but now that I see it has affected others, I'm no longer sad! (I know I'm an asshole)!!! Just teasing!
The truth is I have no idea what this is, because in the edit box the stories look fine, but after saving it, the story goes back to the strange symbols. Hopefully this can get corrected soon. Be well everyone.
