That would be an interesting read, and though it's such an unlikely happening, the part I would be interested in would be how each company instructed their actresses to get into the scene.

Did the producers try to explain what it is female fight fans like about females fights? Was that a deep conversation or a super quick and shallow one? What did the actresses ask, and did any of their models really understand it?

I feel like some producers, like Xtreme Female Fighting and California Wildcats in the past, really must have been good at that. Others, not so much.

When I replied to your blog post with the tattoos one, I did specifically mention that women would rather talk to other women even if they're fans about these certain things. From where I'm standing I rarely call them actresses as most come from various fighting backgrounds. Part of DWW's success was that Eastern Europe doubles as Southeast Asia just much closer, so they knew women will apply not just for the money, but because the region's hard traditions and high religiosity, both straight and lesbian/bisexual athletes flocked West as a woman fighting hard especially barely clothed is very much shunned upon. That's an exploitable vulnerability, so take what you will from it, I've said it already that I can't hammer on issues that never got past a police report.

I do think that in cases of custom videos (and at that point I have to say imho producers would fear piracy less if they offered customs more in favor of their own productions, since who'd let their own copy get pirated for which they paid so much?) the women are being instructed to do what and how but even then a shooting script isn't that long. Often it can be observed that the fighters are quite accustomed to grapple with each other fairly quickly but have trouble actually carrying a scene due to stage fright.

it would be great to see what really goes on behind the scenes. maybe the fighters just plan it between themselves. maybe the director hands a print out with instructions to the fighters so that there would be no embarrassment.
