However, to fully access them requires you to click on the "read clipped message" part of the post and to use the arrows on the side of the message box and the site itself to scroll up and down. It's a bit awkward sometimes, but it definitely works.

In posting some of my old stories, I've gotten the bug to write sequels to some of them. Hopefully, that means I'll be doing a bit more writing in the near future.

Finally, it looks like this board is finally working again. Fingers crossed that this continues.

If you had visited HB like I do, after the first few outages I've switched over to the activity page. This is how I know that according to the Altec board, Steven offered to sell the site to them, but of course, that offer is pending kinks are worked out. Much like with momfight.com, this site too can up and be in smoke way before it should go out as announced. What I think about Google I've said in the different topic. I can't speak on the behalf of other writers, but boards have content as we shape them. FCF has some really good writers, but having Jon Grey and Augur there is definitely an addition. What I mean is that because it's a higher exposure site, plenty of one time authors enslave stories to their personalized fantasy without regards to input from readers if they too find it interesting. It has also authors who couldn't edit and proofread themselves out of a plastic bag if their life depended on it.

It's great to know my writing has at least one fan who appreciates my lack of editorial and proofreading abilities! Kidding aside, I like your writing and look forward to seeing more of you on FCF now - despite how sad it is for T&S to have fallen so low!

I'm a fan of a lot of people's work, including yours There's a simple reason I haven't produced much in the past 3 weeks, I'm in the target population which suffers more from the heat wave. Long story short, my immune system goes out of whack when it comes to too cold or too hot. So the ideas are here, what's missing is the energy. Kidding aside, I frequent catfight stories more, but as a general rule, I've encountered some of these mistakes: posting a story as if it was written by an AI in training, no respect for paragraphs or story structure. In the sticky topics, along the warning how data breaches can happen and sites have downtimes, so stories be best saved on your drive or cloud too, they also advise writers not to write stories directly in the topic, it doesn't format well.

My second pet peeve is when authors treat stories like softcore p*rn, brief, very brief introduction (in one story I've read, physical characteristics were cast away in the first sentence, they fought in the second) large dissemination of the second act and a practical sequel hook in the third act. Only because it can be done it doesn't mean it should, it doesn't speak to your person as an author.

Which brings me to the third pet peeve, egocentrism. Stories purely are written for personal enjoyment that by virtue of being published expect readers to adore them and by proxy the author as the protagonist. What I mean are stories, where compared to the central character everyone is of lesser quality. This speaks either to a person who wishes (s)he could literally rule others or worse or to someone who already does by disparity in social power dynamics. I've seen one where the author deliberately or naively conflated two women fighting over his money with a fight being over him. The beauty comes from the fact that he does indeed indirectly admit his belle and her friend depend on him financially and yet acts as if the confrontation comes from how good he is sexually. A common mistake, usually made by men if we count published frequency (and not intent) is thinking others in gender just die to hear about your exploits. There's a reason porn features the women visibly it's supposed to allude it's your sexual adventure.

I could say, okay as a democracy, the idea can tolerate that. True, except for the part where it becomes crystal clear, egocentric people only experience how others react to their perceived greatness not how people actually are, and that's just bad writing. I do admit to not being a good sexfight writer by virtue of being a man who accepts a need for dominance in a relationship. The reason many stories focus lot on the fight instead of sex is because of this. Sexfight is about partnership for the duration of a conflict, not competitive lesbian intercourse. That's why I encourage writers to publish their stories there too. I can't speak for others but as an emerging writer I like to see where I can develop to.
