Personally I feel that it should be legal.Selling is legal, fucking is legal so why shouldn't selling fucking services be legal?I feel it should be regulated much the same way alcohol and gambling are regulated, but locking people up for this is silly.

    What do you all think?

Maybe it should be legal for a person once a year, or once a month. A person's ID would have a certain day of the month highlighted and on that day they could have allow others to pay them for sex.

That would make a great comedy actually. Seeing people overtly and repetively flashing their ID on the particular day they can "sell it" in an effort to drum up business.

All the sex issues that are the source of discussion would be less of an issue if people valued playing chess as much as they did having sex.

It already is, just go do porn. Honestly whats the differnce. I say leagalize it at least then you can tax it and apply regulations. A regulated industry would reduce crime.

When it comes to marriage, it would be hard for some men to "forgive" a woman who was a prostitute at one point in their lives.

They should probably legalize prostitution in one state and study the results for several years to see how people react to it over a longer period of time.

No, not Nevada, that doesn't count.

I'm not sure how I would feel about a girl who was a prostitute. I can honestly say a girl with a former sluty background dosen't bother me. People make mistakes. In any case legal or ilegal that issue would still exist anyways.

    Re: Should prostitution be legal?

I think yes. Prostitution is not eradicated by the fact that it is illegal, but at the same time, the state does not receive tax from this shadow business, such a "business" is not regulated by any laws and legal agreements, that is ... It will still exist. So why don't we (society) put some rules into prostitution and make it legal and profitable for us?
