A couple of things confuse me about the war in Iraq.

    Car Bombs confuse me.

If I were the U.S., I would point some surveillance satellites over possible bombing locations. The next time a car bomb went off I would start at the point of the explosion and work my way backwards, tracking the car to see where it came from via our satellite imaging technology.

What kind of tires do car bombs use? Are they brand spanking new tires, or cheap, patched up tires that are about to be disintegrated in an explosion?

How valuable is the car that is used? Are new mercedes benz's used as car bombs? Is there a forensics team that helps profile possible car bomb types which would then help our satellites track cars more likely to be used as a car bomb?

    Point number two.

Why does the U.S. allow the "insurgents" to publicize their threats in the media? In times of war, is it wise to allow the "bad guys" the same media coverage to publicize their threats?

Why not offer "informant" rewards in the provinces where sucicide bombers are recruited from?
