    Question

in trying to get my car started again, i borrowed a friend's ECU. the car is a 2000 prelude sh; the ECU is also from a 5th gen prelude. there is a procedure in the Helms describing how to test out another ECU. basically, you cut a key for the car on a non-immobilizer blank, and then tape the immobilizer key from the donor car to the newly cut key. i imagine the procedure is the same for any honda/acura with the immobilizer, so perhaps one of you with a 2000 Teg can give me some insight:

i did this. it doesn't work. i tried it many times. i made sure none of the immobilized keys to the car were anywhere near the ignition, tried again. it doesn't work. the immobilizer light in the dash just flashes at me. i'm sure the key i'm using is from the donor ECU's car.

    HELP! tia.
