Yes, I saw a complete set of models on
e-pay a while back. I should have saved
the picture. They were very cool. Went for
big bucks.. They were a promo.......
Hi gang, haven't been on here in a while. Someone just gave me a miniature version of the big 210 cabinets. Not sure if they were
a promotional display type of thing or what, but I've never seen anything like it. My digital camera just died, so as soon as I can I'll get a photo up. It's only about a foot tall and is an exact scaled down version of the big V.O.T.T. boxes. Anyone ever seen or heard of anything like it?
Thanks,
Guy

Do you remember what they went for? What kind of speakers (if any) were in them? How long ago were they on? Thanks,
Guy
It was this summer. Their were a lot of them
including the A-7 and the whole VOTT line.
I tried to search the Bay but its too late.
I cant remember the price but it was very high.
Someone will come by here and remember in time,
infact I thought it would be someone from here
that would buy them. Lets wait and see. Art

Vintage Altec Lansing 1/8 Size Model Loudspeaker Components 815A 329A 311-60 288 | eBay
I got these a few years back. I believe they were salesmen's samples (if anyone knows something different let me know). They were empty with an opening for a 2" driver so I installed Tang Band 2" full range drivers and they do the trick. They are my computer speakers with good highs and surprisingly good bass although I do use them with an old Altec (sparkomatic) computer sub.
They are 12" x 14" x 6.5" and the wings add 2" to each side.
Those are pretty cool
I think the original use was educational classes conducted by Altec reps. Many wound up in the hands of dealers and were no doubt used as samples.
I have a pair that date earlier than those, I think 72 ish. They are A5's, with a cast metal 1003, and functional cabinets that have 405A in them. They will probably turn up when I'm searching for something else.
I picked those up when I went out to California early 73 to interview.
I just realized after I'm gone my daughter is going to have an interesting garage sale.
