Sadly I think we are headed for lots more of the same....

    Convergence- what are you smoking?
the A-7 was discontinued LONG ago. I doubt they made ten pairs. if even that.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">We are not in the 60's anymore. Check their Web Site. Klispch Horn is in their consumer division.

They also have a speaker division and a commercial division.

    Klipsch used in theaters
Klipsch also features its speaker designs in the Hard Rock Cafe line of restaurants and in several AMC and Regal theaters.

Theatres such as Hollywood's BM Theatre house are using Klipsch theatre systems for the 18000 audience capacity movie house. On a smaller scale, cinemas like Golden Village (Singapore) used Klipsch custom speakers for their GV Grand and iMAX theatres. iMax have chosen Klipsch to be the exclusive partner for premium sound for the audiences.

Let's face it folks, the old Altec-Lansing that we long for and as we knew before the pre-merger is dead. I would guess that 99.9% of the employees of the pre-merger Altec is gone. The nrew Altec-Lansing tried resurrect the old A7s from what is left of the documentation from the pre-merger days. I doubt if they can actually be successful at it even if their lives depend on.

Ya'll have lost me, the A7 is listed in their 'Legacy' line along with speaker designs I've never seen before. I don't see anything remotely resembling a Klipsch speaker anywhere on their N.A. website.

Convergence I have no idea where you are.

The A7 was discontinued long ago. You can look up it's PDF in retired products. Many Altec pro product were retired within months.

And what are you talking about the K-horn is in their consumer division?

Plantronics/Altec wants to sell tons of little Chinese speakers and headphones. There will be no studio monitors, or Model XX anythings.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">They have two main divisions CONSUMER AND PRO PRO IS GOING .A-7 WAS IN THE CONSUMER DIVISION UNDER LEGACY ;CLEAR OK. AS FOR THE KLISPCH HORN COMPANY I WAS REFERRING TO THAT MODEL BEING IN THE CONSUMER LEGACY SITE OF THE KLISPCH HORN COMPANY TOGETHER WITH BELLE AND THE REST.

My mistake - Bosch owns Telex/EV.

But I am just SURE I read that Harmon sold off some stuff.

I do know that JBL's smaller stuff is now made by the Chi-Com's...

JBL has been using some China stuff for a bit- a quick trip to Harmon still shows JBL as being theirs...

I have a friend who says that he watched them load the JBL equipment for their entire ceiling speaker line being loaded on the boat for China...
