Yes I was a bit quick on the response I should have read more carefully his first post and complement it.I'm more equipment curious than he his I guess.

You are a decent fellow, please allow me to commend you... I think going with the flow here is the way to go. Don't mind off topic forays, on ones I post I try to keep them short. But my feeling is let the threads run where they do....I'm kinda past projects, my ability to complete them lessens with time. But good conversation and entertainment abounds here... even enjoy reading about things I am not into...my mind still works even if the flesh is weak....contrary to the redhead's opinion...

Thank You OG ! And Thank You Licorne ! No I'm into equipment as well. Just Vintage ALTEC LANSING equipment..... I like the new stuff too, I just have a fondness for the stuff that was manufactured during their heyday.. The gear Altec produced in the 40's-70's was built like a tank and just sounds so wonderful to my ears.. Love at first listen,literally..

Every since that first listen (1978 IIRC) I have been collecting Altec stuff.

I was looking at the specs of Clair Brothers large size line array i218-LT. The speakers are effecient to 100 db 1w/1m and up to 140 db1m peak. They also use 8 HF 1.4 " HF drivers 110 db 1w/1m.. 6 8" speakers 110db 1w/1m.

Total Max. Output: Cont. 139 dB SPL, Peak 142 dB SPL,

No harm done from where I'm sitting. Things get heated. Good to see you guys still rule this site (all 14 pages worth of the elders). We all love our old Altecs and know they opened the door to the future of audio.
