    Hi All!

I have a set of these x-overs that I am recapping. Does anyone have info on the inductor values? I would like to replace them with higher quality inductors, but not sure what mh they are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I measure 2.7 mH and .3 Ohms DCR with a hand held meter. I checked the meter with some solen air cores I have on hand and both the dcr and inductance were within tolerances of the published values.

Yep, one measures exactly 2.67 mH and the other 2.71. The dcr is the same for both as is the part number (18236).

FWIW they should be ~3.6 mH.

FWIW = For What It's Worth.

Actually, I don't know. I responded by rote for the -8A, but after I posted I noticed you said -8B, a network I don't recall seeing and didn't find in the Altec Library. The pt# wasn't right for 3.6 mH (18145) either, so I'm curious what speakers these are in since the woofers would have to change from the 'famous' models.

What are the cap values? 28 uF is what's in the -8A, so if Altec held to its 'tradition', then the cap values would have to be different for the -8B also.
