Perhaps I can help a little. This was Pano's system a few weeks before he moved back to Hawaii. I thought he said his B-I-L was going to wind up with the speaker, but I can't confirm this.

Not specifically Driverack, but the DCX2496 has been used with success.

    Re: My A7-500s. A journey

I used the complete 1st gen dbx HIFI system that the driverack series is derived from and combined with some passive to basically damp its SS 'tone' [for lack of a better description], it totally transformed in-room response and proved to be a very good pre-computer software measurement system, not to mention allow me to remove some very large inductors, capacitors from the signal chain.

I've tried an early version of the driverack and its 'tone' was so 'digital'/'noisy' that no amount of damping made it usable in a HIFI/HT app, so strictly PA in IME. Ditto a demo of some Behringer units used with low efficiency 'monkey coffins' some years ago, so can't imagine them doing all that well long term in an HE system without the parts swap and some other tweaks posted back then.

Times change and sometimes PA electronics get improved, plus we all hear the same, yet not so much; so as always, best to audition them in one's own app rather than rely on other's subjective opinions.

Wasn't aware of the Studio version, but then I've been 'out of the loop' for decades now, so looking forward to a review as the only option I found after mine couldn't be repaired was the price of a late model used car......... I kept its microphone, wonder if it will work with the affordable PA2 [he rhetorically muses].......

Only real-world testing can confirm how well it may or may not work.
i have the behr deq2496 it does a decent job of auto cal correct. and connects to a dcx2496 via digital. i have yet to try with the dcx yet. the deq auto cal does a pretty good job of letting you know how out of balance your speakers may be.
    i built a dual 3154 sub to go from 28 to 80 so the 828s don't have too(or can't).

Sure wish all the pic's were still here. Picking up a set of beat looking A-7 in the morning. Probably going to part them out but this thread has me wondering........
Heck, I'm out of room in the house but it would still be neat to do the mods for outdoor party speakers.

    Bill, Phil, ( anyone? ),

    Here's a shot of Pano's final A5 setup ( hopefully visible to all ) .

    2

Sometimes the photobucket links look broken ( but "Right-Clicking" and choosing "Open Link in a new tab" will show they are still active > though not always ).

OTOH, Panos images appear to be completely MIA ( suggesting that the image hosting company is no more ).

Alancohen's Bringing 828 cabs up to snuff... is a good inspirational read.

More than 80% of his photos are still accessible ( via the method that I just described ).

    the link trick works great.

i have an A-5 setup with a sub. I've been playing around with a pair of 931-12s with brand new light diaphragms from Bill. for now i just added a highpass filter for the 931-12s. i definitely have 16k+ i want to come up with a crossover between the 288s and the 902s some time.

The price is right, question is: so do they have decent LF units in them, 416's?

I was tempted but presumed they aren't the newer 16" frame size, and so not a match for my purposes.
