What makes this even more confusing/frustrating is when people intending to do good deeds post a circuit drawing for an N800-F network, but don't tell you which speaker system it has come from. I can tell you from first hand experience that an N800-F from a 1967 846A valencia does not contain the same value components as an N800-F from a 1975 9844 monitor.
this kind of explains why the 1209 8As i tried with the components from a valencia, do not sound very good at all. maybe the caps bad, but i',m inclined to believe either they or the inductor are wrong for this. right now it sounds great with the 846b network and the 1285 8A.
Hello all, My name is Brian and I own (2) Altec Lansing N-800-D Crossover units (1 for each speaker). I honestly don't know how to wire them, but I am including a few pics to see if anyone knows how to wire them to their respective horns, tweeters and main speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Input (above Altec Lansing Logo) Right side is pos. Speaker connections on bottom. LF= Low Frequency (Bass) HF is the horn. My crossover only uses the first 3 terminals. Hope this helps.
L.F. COMM. H.F.
Positive Neg of both Positive
Bass speakers Horn.

Now I am in another conundrum. I have the right wiring on the left speaker, but I am at a loss about the right speaker. It has a bass connection with a single, 4-wired cord for the bass. I know I am getting a good connection to the H.F. because I tested it...but I don't know how to hook up the bass on the right speaker. I'm including pictures.
