    Greg could this 'style' cab work with a 420?

    these are most likely homebuilt. but, i like the way this is set up. my gut feeling is it could be tweeked to sound pretty good. i like the way the port is set on the bottom. with the base working to extend the port and direct it forward. the pics in this listing are good enough to make copies. they would need to be scaled to the 420s to match the volume.
    i'm thinking a decent pair of cabinets with a pair of super tweeters and they might not sound to shabby.

    Not by scaling AFAIK or at least I don't see how a straight 1:4/whatever ratio will do it well enough. The base horn does more than just route it to the front and will require AkAbak or similar to sim, which I haven't taken the time to tackle its steep learning curve. I might can approximate it in Hornresp, but more time than I can devote ATM.

    Never hurts to try though if you have the time, materials to experiment.

    edit: Oops! Didn't answer your basic Q: yes, it should work well with any simple reflex if properly designed.

    i'll try. i can do a lot of the sim in my head. i just need to play the 420 in a couple of different volume boxes for reference. check yer PMs
