Looks like they sold. Hopefully you got them. Can't go wrong for $160 + shipping! Have fun with your project.

    actually it was 130 + 30 shipping
i got them. i'm waiting on him to check the shipping. i told him i couldn't see him shipping them for 30.95 and let me know what it really comes to. yeah maybe i'm a sucker. but things usually work out to my benefit.
my plan here is to build a 8254. http://www.greatplainsaudio.com/vint...r%20System.pdf after i decide whether i need to recone of course.

well the seller messaged me back. didn't charge me more for shipping. (even though i'm pretty sure miss to south fl ain't gonna be cheap) he actually gave me a 10$ credit on the shipping. making the total 150$. well when he gets a price on shipping tomorrow i'm willing to make good on it.

IMHO the 3154 is a much better design. Newer. Has better transient response.

The rubbing side will be opposite the side you press on to make it go away. Mount with that side down. Gravity MAY pull it back eventually. If not will need a recone. Speakers should be rotated in the cab to allow cone sag to even out. Sometimes that comes back, sometimes not.

Some times rub is due to overpower causing the coil to go "out of round'. In that case nothing short of a recone.
