Phil the 3156 is more of a mid-bass driver. The A6 (late) did use 2 as woofs, the LF section was sold as 8256.
Wish I had all my stuff in digital format. Dearth of info on the net.

As plentiful and cheap as they are, perhaps we could all chip in a few bucks and talk to GM to see what he could come up with. I'd chip in.

Certainly no expert here. But, it looks like it's low Qts would make for a kick-ass horn driver. Perhaps add a touch of mass to the moving assembly to bring the Fs down a tad and put them in a LARGE bass horn.

    or..................

Large volume BR boxes loaded with four each located close enough to each other on the baffle to gain some useful extension from mutual coupling.

    or.................

Just buy a few LAB-12's and build large bent horns or tapped horns for them and be done with LFE for good.

    Correct.

Thanks for the consideration, but this being my hobby for DIYers, the only thing I desire is folks actually building, etc., them and providing feedback be it good, bad or indifferent as all is informative. Quickie posts/sims/email responses is about all I have time/mental acuity for these days, but will 'run the numbers' as time permits. Here's a little info from a June thread: Powering an 8256 Cab

I ran 3156's in the titan 48's and they performed very well. according to bill fitzmuarice , the folded horn actually halves the fs of the speaker. the 3156 sounded much better than the eminence drivers we simmed in the same box. there's a thread here somewhere call titan 39

The 3156 will be xMax limited in the Fitzmaurice stuff. OTOH I suspect plenty of volume for home use. If in doubt use two!

You could certainly get evicted, and fast, with a double 3156 folded horn.
