Do you somehow know that the correct cone is fitted? It is not obvious in the listing.

However, i do know that at least a couple different cones/kits were used.
The one pictured "looks" right to me. When i see those natural colored gaskets on 515G, i expect to see just a tiny bit of the VC leads, and the point which they pass through the cone. Visible leads aren't characteristic of too many Altec woofers.
The darkened circumference where the dustcap is glued down is also a characteristic feature i would expect to see on versions with the natural colored gaskets. I think that is a treatment that is supposed to keep assembly adhesive from being drawn into the cone material.
Then again, i am hardly an expert.
But, do consider that 515-8G was made across a time period of sweeping changes at Altec.

I have a pair of 515gs someone sprayed one of the cones with black paint. I'm not sure it affects the sound. but I'm pretty sure it would put some off buying the a7s they're in. so I'm kinda thinking of getting one of these.
