Actually, I was pretty nervous, anxious, and then glad, worried that maybe someone else really wanted it to go with the other one on ebay from Oklahoma for buy-it-now $1100. I am now pretty giddy-first ebay score. I don't plan on flying it Phil, if you want it, its yours.
Now after going threw the Yamaha's manual, I am thinking that it will not decode the center channel information while also having the stereo electronic crossover high and low signals input into the multi-channel inputs without finding some kind of Multi-format player/External decoder to separate out the center channel signal first and sending that to the center channel input.
I have some for searching to do.

It was a liquidator selling it for what I assume is a church (edit; school) (edit 2; church), and it is still located at the owners location. Still waiting for my son to return my calls and tell me where it is and when the other son is going to pick it up.
I think that I am going to pick up one of these HDMI to 5.1 RCA extractor to send the center channel to the Yamaha AV receiver.

It should show up at my house on Friday. Here is the Altec sales brochure posted on Lansing Heritage that I posted earlier on page 1, it looks like the low and high voice coils have only about 1 inch seperation and are sharing the same magnet;

Ok, speaker will be here tomorrow. Just finishing up my Christmas shopping on Amazon; a hdmi to 5.1 audio extractor, another gaggle of patch cables and a Sony blu-ray player.
Still having trouble with the 1000Hz crossover. I could build a simple Linkwitz/Reily 12db/octave passive with about $60 worth of parts including an L-pad, get another active Beringer CX2310 for just one channel ($100 w/ XLR to RCA adapters, an active Rolls 24db mono w/ 1/4" Phono to RCA ($80), an active Rolls 12db stereo w/ rca active ($80), or a passive Altec M19 1201-8A 1200Hz (would there be much difference between 1000Hz and 1200Hz?).
I can use the mono center channel of the Yamaha Receiver with a passive crossover or the two surround back channels for an active one.
