This.. but the cones don't look right.
They need to be re-coned to be made right.
Lack of a vent has got to affect their long term power handling.
how well would a pair of 515 8LFEs do in a MLTL or tapped setup? maybe hypothetical at this point,,,, but.
that is the questian. i was going through the specs and they're rated 20 -1000 hz. thats damn low

yeah, i'm not in the mood to recone another pair just yet. that would put them in the 650$ range.
i already have a 130$ pair of 3154s that are now "worth" 500$

so how low could one go with a tapped horn??
Sonic Barbarian
That needs to be arrived at empirically, which disqualifies me from answering with any specifics.so how low could one go with a tapped horn??
How low will likely depend on how loud, and the specific TH it's loaded in.
I suspect excursion limits will be the threshold you need to be concerned with.
I'd like to see this modeled for a generic TH, so that we might at least get a prediction as well as learn more about what the parameters of an ideal driver for a high output TH with low extension might be.

my gut feeling says low and heavy.
