I wonder if donaldpatten would be willing to post a picture of his stereo console and/or any other info he could tell me. I just picked one up which I really like, its quality all the way and in absolute mint condition. its a Hillcraft made with all high end components like sherwood, gerard, calrad. more pics by request....

Those were not Egg-Nog days. Well, maybe for supervisors. :lollipop:
Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.

1 The speaker cabs are 35" wide , the console is 68" wide, for a total just under 12 ft. The room is 13 ft wide. The cabs are 30" high and 18" deep. The speaker cab volume is 6 cu ft and holds a single 605A. Originally they were not ported and they leaked where the grille cloth wrapped around the baffle board . Now they are sealed up and ported 8" x 3" x 4" H W D. The console cab has three 20" wide sections, so 19" RM equip fits, and 17" equip can be spun around in place for front connections. The center section holds a third 605A for center ch'l.

2 The center speaker cab was made to just fit into the center section and protrudes out the back about one inch . It is modeled after an Altec monitor 861, and has a vol of 3 cu ft.

The front three are 605As. The rears are Snell Acoustics J/II, that suprisingly are a good match to the 605s. The Snells are a GW find, that I replaced the foam rings on.
