Welcome back Ron, glad all is well. I have pulled my M19's into the room with poor results.. Thanks again for the advice you gave me restoring my Pilot sa260 sp210 it amazes me like no other amp combo I have had...
Hey folks,
Haven't stopped in here for awhile so thought I'd just say hello.
I'm still enjoying my M19's with the 8184 Subs and 300B PP amps.
I had to buy a new set of 300B and settled on the EH300B.
I think they sound fine.
With no drag racing in the winter, it's nice to sit in front of the system and further work on my ears.....ha!
A good buddy of mine who has built many sets of speakers has finally come around and now has Altec. Pretty funny.
He built his own 8 cu ft cabs, bought 416-8B woofs from GPA and used some sort of horn and driver I'm not familiar with.
He is also using home built M19 X-overs with no controls.
I loaned him a pair of 902-8A drivers which he liked, but he gave them back.
I listened to his set up, but not with familiar to me music. Not sure I like the setup, he insists on having the speaks out in the middle of the room. To my ears, just something missing. I have some 511's I can loan him, as well as some big Altec CD horns for the small format drivers. He is willing to experiment.
Just cracks me up after all these years......He absolutely loves the woofs.
Hope all you guys are well.
Ron

Ron,
Good to hear from you! What kind of ET are you running with the C5 these days?
Jeff
Great to have you back Ron. Hope all is well with you in Portland.
Just moved to Bend, OR and I enjoyed meeting you and having your assistance on a couple of project. Keep up the good work and get racing again.
