Re: 601 Diaphram replacement?
Edit, I must've not been looking at the model number correctly. Turns out I have a 602A, not a 601A.
A quick, late night post. I couldn't sleep and wanted to give it another, noninvasive try!
Well, turns out I didn't have to do any soldering or dismantling! I must have not had my DMM's leads on the HF leads correctly. I decided to check again and before I measured, I grabbed a 9v battery and some wires and tested it out, and heard the "click, click" sound! Went back and grabbed my DMM and measured again, and I had resistence!
Whew! Looks like I now stuck with another delimena,. DO I want to run a mono system, or do I want to try and find a working mate for this? hmmm...
Thanks again for the help, advice, and assistance!

Re: 601 Diaphram replacement?
Hey Phil-G,
Yeah I saw that but I made a mistake, the 602 is a 15", and the 601 is 12"......
I am thinking of cleaing, sanding, and rubbing in some tung oil in the corner cabinet it came in and finding a old mono tubeamp/rcvr to run it with.
I am getting ready do get another altec/econowave like project going here in a few weeks, so my discetionary funds are a little limited! Gonna give this a try and look for a nice, decent mono amp tuner....
